The
Proposal
I, Josh Waitz, proposed
to Anna at around 11:30 PM on New Millennium's Eve at Disneyland!!!
Anna and I were taking a break from dancing in Fantasyland, when I
decided the time was right. I asked her if she wanted to go stand out
on the bridge of Its A Small World for awhile. It was a very romantic
spot. The trees were all lit up, Its A Small World had lights ALL
over it, and the water from the ride was flowing underneath the
bridge. We stood out there for awhile, and then I got the ring out,
went down on one knee, and said "Anna, we are in the 'Happiest Place
on Earth' and I'd like you to make me the happiest man on Earth. Will
you marry me?" She accepted, we hugged, she started to cry and that
made me start to cry, but I was saved by a crowd of people that had
gathered that started to clap and cheer for us. It was really great.
People blew their New Year's horns and cheered for us. A worker that
said he had proposed to his wife there as well, ran up, congratulated
us, and gave us glow in the dark sticks. Anna and I hugged and
kissed, watched the fireworks and light show, and brought the new
year in as fiancé and fianceé!!!
